SFERA: Ceramics & Weave

At the Sfera showroom in Moscova, they are sharing their exhibition “An Appetite for Design.” Although there were many beautiful products pertaining to food & the experience of eating, Sfera seemed to exemplify a trend that was seen throughout this week: ceramic mixed with weaving. The products seamlessly integrated the weaving technique, as if the two different materials were meant to be used together. Some of the pieces had two contrasting colored straw, highlighting further the intricacies of the technique. The heaviness of the ceramic works perfectly with the lightness of the straw, bringing a perfect harmony in the design of each object. (Sfera, Via Varese 10)
