Diesel x Foscarini / ROCK Floor Lamp

Although faceting has been a trend in the past couple years, this year it was a hit at Salone del Mobile & Fuori Salone, and doesn’t seem to have an end in sight. At the Foscarini showroom, on display is the Diesel x Foscarini Rock foor lamp. Taking inspiration from volcanic rock, the extereior of the lamp is simply white with hard facets, the inside of the shade shimmers with softness & iridescence. To have two different emotions on a single lamp is quite interesting, and relates perfectly back to the inspiration. (Foscarini, Via Fiori Chiari 28)

Hi! I’m a watch designer & avid Hello Kitty fan. Born & raised in the USA, this is the first time living abroad for an extended period of time. I’m excited that Creative Academy has given me the opportunity to experience a new culture & city lifestyle, while furthering my education in the luxury design field. Being that the Fuorisalone & Salone Del Mobile are relatively unfamiliar events for me, I’m thrilled to be able to take part in the Milan Design Week and eager to fill my curiosity regarding all of the events to come.
