Social Knitting

At the starting point in Ventura Lambrate area, Netherland social designer Floor Nijdeken is working to bring strangers and visitors together by creating a big table made for communal knitting. When many works are completed, he dreams of having an exhibition to display the pieces in which strangers worked together to create a single masterpiece.

I am a fashion accessories designer and trend tracer. I love to search for beautiful things around me. I’m attending the Master of Arts in Design in Creative Academy and I’m learning about high quality, craftsmenship and luxury. This is my 6th year in Italy but it’s my first time in Milan, a city famous not only for fashion design but also for its nice places and a unique mix of cultures. I‘m expecting to see innovative products and new design from this year edition of salone del mobile and Fuorisalone as well as from Expo 2015.
